Jill

In 1963, my husband was a senior at the University of South Carolina. He would graduate in May 1964 and go to Quantico for his training to be an officer in the United Stated Marine Corps. In the winter of 1963, he had a relationship with a young lady. Later he would find out that she was pregnant. But he was on the pathway of his training for the USMC. So he left in May 1964. We married in August of 1965. At sometime, he told me of the possibility of a child from a previous relationship. We were young and on the move and we did not think about this child. Years passed. My husband got out of the Marine Corps and we settled in Columbia, SC where he had a successful real estate career. In March 2013, my husband got a message from a lady saying that she was his daughter and that she would like to meet him! 49 years later! She lived just 25 miles from us! She and my husband talked on the phone over the next couple of months. Then on June 11, 2013, we arranged for she and her husband and Jim and I to meet her. She is my husband’s daughter! A beautiful young lady who the Lord has brought into our lives. So the coordinates for her bracelet were for the place where we first met her and the date of that meeting. She has been a wonderful blessing in our lives. Thank you for making the memorable bracelet for us to give to her for her birthday.
